This painting was commissioned from my digital piece depicting the same image in a different medium. I was requested to use oil for the recreation of the digital piece.
My initial response to emotion is to draw or paint eyes because I feel like you only need to see a person's eyes to see through the image they've built for the people surrounding them. The eyes are the gateway to the emotions of a person. The eyes that I drew let me depict my most painful emotions; the different colors represent the different thoughts I had during the process of this piece. My intent was for the viewer to lose themselves in the movement of colors.
This piece is meant to show letting go of the mind and letting the body take control through the process of creation of this piece.
